A Baden-Powell Guild service pin and certificate is available to any Baden-Powell Guild member who has completed a minimum of 5 years as a member of the Canadian Fellowship of Baden-Powell Guilds.  The service pin is issued in increments of 5 years and is accompanied with a certificate.

As service pins and certificates are not part of our inventory, they have to be ordered each year.  Applications are received up to October 31st of each year for those eligible to receive their service pin within that fiscal year.  After October 31st, an order is then placed with the supplier of the pins and the printer of the certificates.
All orders, when filled, will be mailed to the respective Guild applicant.  Be advised that it could take 6-8 weeks after the closing date to receive your order.

The cost per pin and certificate is $5.00

Criteria

• Is initiated at the Guild level
• Guild decides which member(s) deserve(s) to be recognized

How to Obtain

• Group Guildmaster requests in writing to the National Guildmaster of the Canadian Fellowship of Baden-Powell Guilds
• A letter should accompany the request. The letter should contain the name of the Guild member, a short history of the member's service within the Scouting and/or Guiding movement and the Baden-Powell Guild, and a short statement outlining why the member is being recognized by their fellow Guild members.
• The Archivist would appreciate receiving a photo of the event.

Information Requested

• The recipient(s) will receive a Medal and an accompanying Certificate. We request that you advise what date and name that you would like on the Certificate.  Medal(s) & Certificate(s) will be mailed to applicant.

Cost

• A cheque, made out to the “Canadian Fellowship of Baden-Powell Guilds” in the amount of $15.00 must accompany the letter of request.

Through Scouts Canada Foundation, the Canadian Fellowship of Baden-Powell Guilds is offering a $1,000.00 “Named Scholarship” to a youth member, who is presently active in Scouting. The $1,000.00 is sent directly to the University or College named in the application. This annual scholarship is known as the “Canadian Fellowship of Baden-Powell Guilds Scholarship”. A Certificate, recognizing this award, is presented to the recipient on behalf of all the Guilds in Canada and the Territories. Our intention is to have a Guild or Guilds, in the recipient’s area, present this certificate.
